What We’re Doing

At Sarah’s Covenant Homes, nannies and cooks and nurses and therapists provide the day-to-day care of the children.  Those that can, receive their education at schools out in the community.  The rest?  All kept running by Sarah and a few other volunteers!

“Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”- James 1:27

Each surgery, specialist appointment, prescription adjustment, and care plan for every single child is given the consideration that a mother would give.  That makes Sarah a mother to over 80 children!  And that is a lot of weight to shoulder.

Our primary goal is to help carry the administrative load in running the orphanage.  That may mean: fundraising for SCH, keeping up communication with current donors, grant writing, helping in medical research and decision-making, file keeping and recording of data, taking inventory of supplies, training caregivers, shooting videography and photography to tell the story of SCH to those around the globe…

Once we’re on the ground, specifics on how God intends our family to serve will unfold.

At this time, we are committing to spend at least 2 years living in Ongole, India.
